SMART Recovery®
Distance Training Program
SMART Recovery® offers a bi-monthly Facilitator Distance Training program for individuals interested in starting a new (or facilitating an existing) SMART Recovery face-to-face or online meeting within 3 months of their completion of the training program.
The training program consists of a combination self-study and online voice meetings, along with discussions and various tasks on the SMART Recovery Online (SROL) Message Board. Participants will perform a variety of pre-work and home-study assignments that are combined with online meetings in our voice meeting room.
Training sessions are held every other month, beginning in January of each year. Class size is limited to 25 participants per session and registrations are accepted on an ongoing basis. Classes are filled on a first-come-first-serve basis, and fill up fast so early registration is advised. Once a session is full, registrants are placed into the next available session.
After reviewing the course outline, the session calendar, and the training and system requirements and you desire to participate, complete the online registration form. Please note that there is a $25.00 non-refundable registration fee, to help cover the costs associated with providing the training. And be sure to purchase the training materials from the Bookstore well in advance in order to be able to do your pre-study work before the program begins.

To get started...
1. Get the Meeting Starter Kit at the SMART Recovery Bookstore (required for training).
2. Register at SMART Recovery Online for a screen name (if you don't already have one).
3. Complete the Online Registration Form.
